Brief

Wānaka is a destination favourite for Australians. And with the arrival of a trans-Tasman travel bubble during Covid in 2021 and 2022 , came the opportunity for Aussies to head over the ditch and enjoy what they hadn’t been able to for two years.

The Work

Leaning heavily into the emotion of anticipation, Monster Children Creative developed a multi-media campaign that simply highlighted everything that we already knew we loved about Wanaka, but hadn’t been able to enjoy for so long. Leveraging the headline ‘The Mountains are Waiting’ this campaign launched two months before the highly anticipated travel bubble and was also executed in New Zealand to remind the domestic audience of what they have at their doorstep.
