Helping one of Australia’s biggest banks attract new customers by launching new “PayWear” accessories.

Hayden Cox is an award-winning industrial designer, founder of revolutionary Future-Flex technology, and the founder of Haydenshapes Surfboards. In 2018, Westpac (one of Australia’s “Big 4” banks) enlisted Hayden for a personal design project to create and manufacture a range of wearable accessories that were both functional and stylish. After hours spent crafting prototypes and sourcing affordable and eco-friendly materials, Hayden revealed the “Centsitive Objects” range with a hugely successful launch driven by  Monster Children Creative.

Westpac are leading the charge in the development of PayWear devices in Australia, a key strategy driving innovation and attracting new customers. Monster Children Creative worked collaboratively for both the introduction of the Centsitive Objects range and the development and positioning of the wider PayWear category messages.

Working with Westpac Retail, Brand and Executive teams, Monster Children Creative was the lead agency responsible for communication strategy and activations within the retail space, which included bespoke display counter units to showcase the range, all in-branch collateral, and bespoke ‘take-over’ installations in Tier 1 retail venues.

The introduction of the range also branched out to Monster Children Magazine’s extensive audience, with a filmed studio visit and in-depth editorial article profiling Hayden Cox’s history of innovative design and recent work for Censitive Objects being shared online and through numerous social channels.
